Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Tecumseh Snowblower, snowblower, cleaning solution

Question
I have a Roper snowblower, don't know how old, with a 5 horsepower Tecumseh motor. I do believeit is an H50 model. When  it is running, it seems as if I am turning the choke on and off and most times the engine quits running. I have a new resistor spark plug and fresh gas, but the problem persists. Any ideas where I should turn next?

Answer
 Hello Scott:

From your Description I Suggest you Clean and Rebuild the Carburetor. Disassemble the Carburetor and Soak Overnight in Carburetor Cleaning Solution(I use Gunk) and then Blow Out the Passages with Compressed Air. Install New Kit. You can View a Breakdown of the Engine at this Addy http://www.outdoordistributors.com/ and Select the T. Then Select Tecumseh. Then Select Don't have Part Numbers. Then Enter the Model Number H50. Then Select the Model to Download. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully
