Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): stx 38, sectional index, stx38

Question
I am trying to locate and a steering column for an stx 38.

I do not know the year or what the actual piece is called.

It is a hard plastic box where the steering shaft goes thru and the plastic is cracked and it allows the shaft to wallow. you know what this piece is called

 You are Asking About the Instrument Panel I Think. Go to this Addy http://jdpc.deere.com/jdpc/servlet/com.deere.u90490.partscatalog.view.servlets.H... and Enter the Model Numbers STX38 and Click Find. Then Select your Model from the Search Results Area(Yellow Deck or Black Deck). Then Select Sectional Index. Then Select Frame, Wheels, Non-Powered Axles, Sheet Metal and Operators Station.
