Question
All springs and arms are connected and not broken.  Yes the engine is over revving as the carb is at full throttle constantly.

-----Question-----
I have an LT1800 Although generator that has an engine extremely similar to a Honda 5 HP.  Although it worked perfectly for a couple of days it now runs at full throttle constantly.  If you pull the governor lever back manually it will slow down.  What may be the cause of this problem?

 Hello Doug:

Is the Spring from the Throttle Control to the Governor Arm Broken/Missing? Is the Engine Over Revving? I am here if you Require more Assistance. Thanks.

Answer
 Hello Doug:

Ok, the Word Over Revving did the Trick. :-) The Screws that Hold the  Throttle Plate Inside the Carburetor have Come Out and the Throttle Plate will Either be Stuck in the Carburetor Throat or At the Intake Valve. The Screws can be in the Muffler or in the Cylinder. If the Screws have Come Out, then Remove the Cylinder Head and Inspect the Cylinder and Piston for Damage. I had a Questioner just a Couple of Days Ago that had the Same Problem. The Throttle Plate was Inside the Intake Valve Port and the Screws were in the Muffler. The Parts were Around $9.00 Plus tax and Shipping and he Did the Labor Himself. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks.

 Good Luck
