Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): John Deere tractor will not start when warm, john deere tractor, kohler command

I have a John Deere STX lawn tractor with a Kohler Command CV 12.5S Spec # 1270 engine. The engine starts great when cold, but will not start when it warms up, can you help. KOG

 Hello Kevin:

 Check the Gas Tank Cap and Ensure it is Venting the Tank. Check for Fire at the Spark Plug when the Mower Wont Restart. If No Fire at the Plug, then the Coil/Ignition Module/Igniter is Bad. If the Plug is Firing, then Check the Compression when the Engine Wont Start. If the Compression is Low, then the Valve Lash need to be Regapped.
