Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): riding lawn mower wont start, craftsman riding lawn mower, lawn mower wont start

Question
i have a craftsman riding lawn mower and it wont start when i turn the key you can hear this clicking noise. i charged the batt. i think its the solenoid. if you have any ideas of why it wont start tell me thanks.

 Hello Keith:

 Take a Jumper Cable Set and Attach the Positive End to the Positive Post of the Battery. Take the Other Positive End and Firmly Touch the Large Post on the Starter. If the Starter Turns, then Replace the Solenoid. If it Doesn't Turn, then Replace the Starter or have it  Checked for Binding. Can you Turn the Engine by Hand?
