Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Dang Ole Seat Switch, craftsman lawn tractor, wire tie

Question
It's an 18HP Craftsman Lawn Tractor. 2004. I tried to bypass the seat switch by pigtailing all THREE wires that go into it. Now, the engine stalls when I release the clutch. And why are there 3 wires to the seat switch? There are only 2 in the schematic. Does the answer lie in simply returning the seat switch to it's originally intended state?  Miles

Answer
 Hello Miles:

On your Model Mower, You Jumper 2 Wires Only. The Other is Left Open. If the Seat Switch is Good and you are Just Needing to Bypass the Seat Switch, then Take a Hose Clamp and Use it to Hold the Plunger Down and Wire Tie the Switch Out of the Way. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Thanks.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully
