Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Storing Small Motor Tools, small engine tools, motor tools

Question
What's the best way to store small engine tools such as chainsaws
that may only be used every few years.  Just needed my chainsaw
after having not started it in over a year and had a hard time
getting it going.  Have had the same difficulty with lawn blowers
and lawn trimmers.  I typically add a stabilizing mix to gas, fill the
tank, and store in a shed.  Suggestions to insure better results
would be appreciated.  Thanks.

Answer
 Hello Stephen:

I Never Use the Stabilizing Additive in Gas. The Additive will Eat the Gaskets and Diaphrams of the Carburator. If the Engine is 2cycle, then Run the Engine Until the Fuel is Exhausted from the Carburator and Store. If the Engine is 4cycle, then Empty the Tank and Add a Small Amount of 2cycle Mix and Run Until the Carburator is Empty. Place a Lint Free Rag into the Tank to Prevent Moisture from Forming in the Tank. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Thanks.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully
