Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Engine reassembling, briggs and stratton, piston crown

I'm in the process of rebuilding a briggs and straton engine model 303447, type 1074E1, code 04010811 which was dismantalled by somebody else i want to know which side the piston should face there is mark on the piston crown like a dot and also the conrod is marked out-1 on one side and out- 2 on the othe side how do i determine the side.

 Hello Nickolas:

 The Connecting Rod should have the Letters OUT-1 of Cylinder # 1 and Faces Out from the Center of the Engine. The Dot on the Piston Should be Up when Looking at the Cylinder. You can View a Breakdown of this Engine at this Addy http://www.outdoordistributors.com/ and Click the B. Then Select Briggs and Stratton. Then Select Dont have Part Numbers. Then Select File # 30.
