Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): JD 14SB dies, kawasaki engine, soleniod

Question
My JD 14SB is surging and has to run on full choke. It also dies most of the time when the blade is engaged. There is no normal rpm increase when the blade is engaged. I took the carb off and disassembled it completely, and gave it a thorough cleaning with no improvement whatsoever. This problem seems to be getting worse with each use. It has a 4 cycle Kawasaki engine.

Answer
 Hello Roy:

Did you Soak the Carburator Overnight in Cleaning Solution? Spray Cleaners Only Loosen the Varnish Inside the Carburator. I Use Gunk Carburator Cleaner in the Gallon CAn. It comes with a Tray for Dipping the Parts into the Can for Soaking.  Does this Carburator have the Fuel Soleniod in the Bowl? If Yes, Then Replace the Soleniod with q 3/4" Bolt of the Same Diameter and Threads. A Bad Fuel Soleniod will Cause the Engine to Run this Way. If you are Sure the Carburator is Clean, then Check the Valve Lash and Ensure the Valves are Closing Properly. I Suggest you Soak the Carburator First. From your Description, this is the Most likely Cause for the Problem. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happesn, Please. Thanks.

 Good Luck
