Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Belt on a Sears Craftman Riding Lawnmower., sears craftman, aggrivated

Question
Hi.
I have searched and read about how to replace a belt on the riding lawnmower, but I still have questions.

Can I turn the riding lawnmower on its side to get to the belt easier?

If I drop the deck, will it come loose from the mower, or just hang there?  And what about the moving parts under the deck?

Do I need many tools to get this belt replace?

I don't have the model number with me right now, so I couldn't look up the diagram on the net as you have stated.

Thanks in advance for your helps.

Regards,

DTN

Answer
 Hello DTN:

I Suggest you Remove the Deck to Replace Any of the Belts. Weither it is the Motion Drive or the Blade Drive or the Deck Belts, they are Easier to Replace with the Deck Out from Under the Mower. If you are Replacing the Motion Drive Belt, I Suggest you Jack Up the Mower and Set it on Stands that are FIRM not Wobbly. This will Give you Room to Work Under the Mower. If you have Ramps, they will Work also. **REMEMBER TO BLOCK THE WHEELS SO THE MOWER WILL NOT ROLL** If you have the Usual Tools; Socket Set, Combination Wrench Set, Screwdrivers, Hammer(to pound the pavement when aggrivated with a pin or bolt) :-) and Pliers, you should have no Problems. You can View this Mower at this Addy http://www3.sears.com/ and Click the Lawn Equipment Box. Then Follow the Instructions to the View Diagram/View Parts List Page. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully
