Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): hydrostatic mower, transaxle, oil level

Question
Yardman 16.6 42" cut hydrostatic
Will cut fine for 10 t 15 minutes then begins to slow down eventually stopping like its been put in neutral. You can let it set for 10 min. running or off, take off again and it will cut 10 or 15 more minutes before the same problem occurs. I bought it used and have no manuels, I don't know if a fluid needs to be added or the belt get very hot and slips
Please help

Answer
 Hello Brad:

You can View a Breakdown/IPL of this Mower at this Addy http://www.buymtdonline.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/topcategory_10101_15601_-1 and Click on Launch Illustrated Search Engine. Then Select the OEM(Yardman) and Enter the Model Numbers and Click Go. Then Double Click on the Model in the Search Results. This will Open a New Window for you to View this Mower in Breakdown/IPL Form. I have had Both the Belt cause this Problem and the Oil Level being to Low and the Transaxle Heating Up. Check the Belt First. If the Belt is Good, then Send me the OEM and Model Numbers Off of the Transaxle, Please. There is a Plate Attached to the Transaxle Housing that has this Information Stamped on it. With these Numbers I can Locate a Breakdown/IPL of the Transaxle and Better Assist you. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully

 John
