Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): AC rectification for charger, charging system, code numbers

Question
Hey Guys,
I was given a 2 years craftsman mower as the previous owner couldn't fix it and tried sorting out the wiring... Wound up being a bad ignition switch..

However, in their course of repairs the alternator wires were cut (why, I don't know) and I'm rtrying to get the charging system back up..

There are three wires coming out of the alternator.. One kicks out 42V AC, the other 14 V AC (for the lights) and a ground..

Is the rectifier typically on the alternator and not working or was the rectifier removed that used to be in the curciut..

Thanks,

Tony

Answer
 Hello Tony:

Send me the Make, Model, Type and Code Numbers Off of the Engine, Please. With these I can Locate a Breakdown of the Engine and Better Assist you. There May be a Rectifier ir Not. The Breakdown will tell me the Charging System on this Engine. Thanks.

 Respectfully

 John
