Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): lawn mower, fuel problems, starter fluid

Question
hi im amine from australia and i wanted to ask you a question, if your lawn mower isnt starting where do you begin to look for the problem.

Answer
 Hello Amin:

Remove the Spark Plug and Check for the Plug Firing. Wrap a Wire around the Threads of the Plug and Attach the Othr End of the Wire to the Engine. Then Turn the Engine and Watch for the Plug to Fire. If you Have Fire, then Check for Fuel Problems. Make sure Gas is Getting from the Tank to the Carburator. Take Starter Fluid and see if the Engine Starts and Quits. If it Does, then Clean and Rebuild the Carburator. If No, then Check the Compression. Send me the Make and Model of the Mower and the Make, Model, Type and Code Numbers Off of the Engine Also, Please. With these Numbers I May be Able to Locate a Breakdown and Better Assist you. You will Also be Able to View this Breakdown. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully

 John
