Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): model # 252707 cant get it to start, briggs and stratton, riding lawnmower

I just got a riding lawnmower no blade. Its mostly a "for fun " mower anyway i have an 11hp briggs and stratton but it wont start. I dont have any wires connected to anything exept from the ignition to the lights. I have a battery but its not for lawnmowers. and i dont have an electric starter or pull starter.  can you help me?

 Go to this Addy http://www.outdoordistributors.com/ and Click on the B. Then Select Briggs and Stratton. Then Select Dont have PArt Numbers. Then Scroll Down to the File Number 25 and Click. Then Scroll to your Model Number and Click. This will Download a Breakdown of this Engine. Is there No Starter on the Mower or is it they Just Dont Work? Hope this Helps.
