Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): engine repair, crank shaft, honda gc160

Question
I HAVE A HONDA GC160 THAT FAIL BY THAT I MEAN THAT THE CONNECTING ROD BROKE WITH NO DAMAGE TO THE CRANK SHAFT AND AFTER BUYING ANOTHER ROD FOR IT I NEED TO KNOW THE AMOUNT OF TORQUE TO USE ON THE CAP THAT FITS AROUND THE CRANK, ALSO WHAT WOULD YOU SUGGEST ABOUT WHAT TO CHECK BEFORE PUTTING THE ENGINE BACK TOGEATHER CONCERNING CHECKING THE CRANK FOR DAMAGE, BUT I DON'T SEE ANY DAMAGE TO THE CRANK.

Answer
 Hello Allen:

Mic the Crankshaft for Out of Round where the Connecting Rod Connect to the Crankshaft. Be sure to De-Glaze the Cyllinder and Install New Rings. The Torque Specifications for the Connecting Rod Cap Bolts are 25ft Pds. Be Sure the Lock Tabs are Bent to Lock the Connecting Rod Nuts/Bolts in Place. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully

 John
