Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Craftsman 8-30 rider / engine, grass catcher, hp engine

Hi Eric,

 I have a Craftsman rider model 502.269321 that I believe has a Tecumseh 8 hp engine. Would you know how I can determine the engine model used on this unit ?  I also need to locate an owners manual Sears no longer supports this 502.269321 mower.

The model number you gave me is for a grass catcher.  There is another model number on the frame of the mower.

You can enter this number in the Sears.com website, under the "Parts" page to view the parts diagram and parts list.

The parts list will have an engine part number xxx.xxxxx

With this number you can find the engine model number by using the online Craftman engine model/part number identification to identify the Tecumseh engine model, spec and serial number.

Send me the mower model and I can look up the info for you.
