Question -
I recently purchased a used weedeater but in good shape. Ran it one time and then I tried to restart it and it doesnt crank over. I feel I might have flooded it. I waited a day or so and tried again without priming it but still nothing. Took the plug out and dried it off, reinstalled the plug and tried again with no luck.

It is a CRAFTSMAN 32CC GAS LINE TRIMMER WEEDEATER Model# 316.791890

 Hello Mark:

Remove the Muffler and Ensure the Exhaust Port isnt Blocked. Check the Muffler and Spark Arrestor Screen for Blockage. The Spark Arrestor Screen is in the Muffler. If these are Clear, then Check the Engine for Spark at the Plug. Let me know the Results. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me know what Happens, Please. I enjoy knowing the Outcome. Thanks.

Answer
 Hello Mark:

I Forgot to Mention, If you need to Clear a 2cycle Engine that is Flooded, you can Turn the Switch Off and Pull the Starter a Few Times. Then turn the Switch On and then Hold the Throttle Full Open and Pull the Starter. Most times on the 2nd or 3rd Pull with the Throttle a Full Open the Engine will Start. I Start All my Trimmers by Putting on the Choke. Hold the Throttle Full Open. Pull the Starter Until the Engine Attempts to Start. Go to Half Choke. Hold the Throttle Full Open and Pull the Starter. Usually they Start and Run on the Second Pull with the Choke at Half. Allow the Engine to Idle and Warm Up. Hope this Helps.
