Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Mower engine, link spring, scribe

I did what you recommended about cleaning all the linkages.  I have not touched the governor.  I ordered New airfilter and pre-cleaner, governor spring, governor control bracket, governor lever, and governor link spring.  Should arrive 8-31-06.  Will let you know if this works or not. Mark the governor lever before you remove the old one.  Use a scribe or ice pick, nail or what ever is sharp to mark the governor shaft and arm BEFORE you remove the parts.

You can use the mark on the governor shaft as a guide for installing the new parts.

Did you remove, dis-assemble and clean the carb?
