Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Generator engine will not run, briggs stratton engine, briggs stratton

Question
Hi, I cannot get my 2 year old craftsman generator to run. I've put in fresh gas, verified I am getting a spark to the plug, cleaned the plug (the generator only has like 5 hours of run time on it), removed and cleaned the carb (disassembled and cleaned all passages), crankcase is full of oil, the carb bowl is filling with gas. I can spray starter fluid into the carb and the engine will run momentarily.

The generator is a 5600watt, 10hp Gentek Briggs & Stratton engine. Model 580-325600.

I have no idea. You?

Thanks for your time,
Bruce

Answer
 Hello Bruce:

If you can Keep the Engine Running for 25 to 30 Seconds with the Starter Fluid, then Soak the Carburator Overnight in Cleaning Solution, Then Blow Out the Passages with Compressed Air. The Varnish Inside the Carburator Isnt all Out and its hard to Remove it Without a Good Soak to Disolve the Varnish. Hope this Helps. Let me know what Happens, Please. I enjoy knowing the Outcome. Thanks.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully

 John
