Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Kohler CV 15S quits, john deere lt155, sectional index

Question
John Deere LT155, above engine,Spec# 41562, serial 2907711251.  Engine quit 4X while mowing, and starts with difficulty each time.  Once started, engaging mower caused it to stall - disengaging, it would run, eventually I could continue mowing, only to have it stall again.  The last time it stalled, it would not restart - so I left it for 15 minutes, and then it started right up, and I drove it to the garage.  Gas tank was full - and I had replaced fuel filter 2 months ago, as occasional stalling had been a problem then too - but since then stalling became more frequent.  My gut tells me that it might be an electrical problem - affected by engine heat, and I am ready to put in a coil pack,
but suspect it may also be carburation.

I would appreciate any help on this.  Thanks

Answer
 Hello Chuck:

On this Engine it can be a Few things Causing this Problem. 1- The Fuel Soleniod in the Carburator Bowl is Heating Up and Stopping the Gas Flow. 2- The Fuel Pump May be Going Bad. 3- The Carburator needs Cleaned and Rebuilt. 4- The Ignition Module/Coil Overheating and Grounding out. Check the Soleniod First. Remove the Soleniod and Replace it with a Short Bolt(1/4"). Run the Engine and see if the Operation of the Engine is Correct. If it Does, then the Soleniod is Bad. If No, then Check the Fuel Pump Pressure. You can View a Breakdown of the Engine and Mower at this Addy http://jdpc.deere.com/jdpc/servlet/com.deere.u90490.partscatalog.view.servlets.H... and Enter the Model Numbers. Click Search. Click on the Model in the Search Results. then Click on Sectional Index. Then Fuel and Air to View the Carburator. Hope this Helps. Let me know what Happens, Please. I enjoy knowing the Outcome. Thanks.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully
