Car Alarms: Car Alarms, fcc id number, honda accord

My son has a security system on his 1999 Honda Accord.  I just washed a pair of his pants with his key and security fob in them and now the fob doesn't work and if he unlocks his car it sets off the security system.  Can you please advise?

Try to identify the alarm at www.remotesunlimited.com
using the FCC ID number on the back of the remote.

However, try this first....
The way to fix this is to get a heat lamp
or, hair dryer out, open the remote casing,
and completely dry the circuit board, and
and plastic casing, then replace the battery
within.

Once done, re assemble and try it.

Should be fine.

But keep the above address to be certain you can
