Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): small engine, secondary coil, safety switch

Question
Hi John
I have a tecumseh small engine for a generator.
It has an automatic shut off.
I got a new magneto and still no spark.
I checked the switch that lights up if it has low oil and it seems fine.
It also has a oil sensor and i checked it on the switch.
No oil I get continuity on all prongs, and full oil I getcontinuity on only two prongs wich to me seems ok. could be wrong.
i have done just about everything.
is there a secondary coil that i dont know about or is there a way of checking the magneto, switch,or sensor differently.
I also checked the magnet onthe flywheel and it is strong but still no spark.
Please, can you help me.
tecumseh small engine model #hm100   159423r
thanx.

Answer
 Hello Alan:

Disconnect the Shutoff Wire from the Coil and Check for Fire. If No Fire the Coil is Bad. If there is Fire, then there is a Bad Wire or Safety Switch. You can View a Breakdown of the Engine at http://www.outdoordistributors.com/ and Click on the T. Then choose Tecumseh. Then Choose Dont have Part Numbers. Then Enter the Model Numbers HM100 159423R. Then Click on the Download. Hope this Helps. Let me know what Happens, Please. I enjoy knowing the Outcome. Thanks.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully

 John
