Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Pressure Washer - cant pull the starter cord, briggs stratton engine, briggs stratton

Question
I was using an Excell VR2500 pressure washer, 2500 PSI with a 6.5 HP Briggs & Stratton engine. After quite a bit of use over the weekend, the washer had some white smoke (or steam) coming out of the top and then shut down. After allowing it to cool down I checked the oil (which I admit hadn't been checked recently) and it was low. So, I added some oil unitl the level was back to the correct place, but now the starter cord is completely stuck -- it can't be pulled at all. Is there anything I can do?

Answer
Hello John:

Remove the Spark Plug and Pour 2oz of Marvel Mystery Oil into the cylinder and Allow the Engine to Stand Overnight. Remove the Blower Housing and then Turn the Engine in the Reverse Direction of Normal. If the Engines Cylinder and Rings have Not been Damaged, then the Engine May be OK. If Not and the Piston or Rings have Seized to the Cylinder, then a New Engine or Overhaul May be Required. Send me the Model and Type or Spec Numbers Off the Engine, Please. With these I can Locate the Proper Manual and Better Assist you. The Model Numbers May be Stamped Into the Blower Housing (metal engine cover) Above the Spark Plug. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

Good Luck
