 Hello Frank:

No Worries. I hope the Push Mower is Doing Fine. As for the Rider, Im Sorry to have to Say that I Suspect the Motor to Be Wasted. This is a Tecumseh and they are Rough on Connecting Rods even with Good Oil. I Would Suggest you Look into a Short Block for this Mower. You can Search this Addy http://www.outdoordistributors.com/ or Contact Michelle at 205-669-2500 and she can Assist you with the Price and the Shipping Charges. Hope this Helps. Let me know what Happens, Please. I enjoy knowing the Outcome. Thanks.

 Good Luck

 Hello Frank:

To Properly Rebuild this Engine will Cost More than a Short Block. You can Obtain a Manual from Tecumseh Power at  http://www.tecumsehpower.com/ or from http://www.outdoordistributors.com/. I Stopped Rebuilding Engines when it Became Cheaper to Buy the Short Blocks than what I could Rebuild them for. After the Machine Shop Work and Parts, Not Including Labor(you are doing the labor) the Cost of a Short Block is Still Better. Hope this Helps. Let me know what Happens, Please. I enjoy knowing the Outcome. Thanks.

Answer
 Hello Frank:

Disconnect the Coil Shutoff Wire as Near to the Coil as Possible. Do you have Spark? If No, then Replace the Coil/Ignition Module. If Yes then Check the Carburator. Try to Start the Engine with Starter Fluid. Have you Hit Anything with the Mower Blade? You can View a Breakdown of this Engine at this Addy http://www.outdoordistributors.com/ and Click on the T. then Select Tecumseh. Then Select Dont have Part Numbers. Then Enter the Model Numbers 143.006700 and Search. Now Download the File. The Coil/Ignition is on Page 1 of 5 and is Diagram # 100. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Sorry about your Troubles, but Good to Hear from you. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully

 John
