Land Rover Repair: error codes, mass air flow sensor, mass air flow

Question
The check engine light in my 97 discovery comes on occasionally. Error code 1179 and 1177 show on my scan tool--what needs replacement?

Answer
Those codes might suggest a mass air flow sensor problem, or the vehicle might be running rich for some reason.  I suggest you find a shop that can look at the live data from the motor while its running and compare the readings to what they should be.
