Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Starts then dies.?, petrol tank, cleaning solution

Hi there

I have a McCulloch petrol hedge cutter, it starts but then just dies i have put in fresh petrol cleaned out the carb and replaced the filter in the petrol tank.

the only thing that is puzzling is that when I press the primer, is that no petrol comes into the clear rubber bubble and after a few presses it blows the pipe out of the petrol tank. and thats a pain to get back in again.

 Hello Terry:

 It Sounds like a Carburator Problem Still. Did you Soak the Carburator Overnight in Cleaning Solution? Most times the Varnish that the Gas has Formed Inside the Carburator can Only be Removed by Soaking the Carburator and then Blowing the Passages out with Compressed Air. Send me the Model Numbers Off of the Trimmer and the Engine(if any), Please. With these Numbers I May be Able to Locate a Breakdown of the Trimmer and the Engine and Better Assist you.
