Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): flywheel key, code numbers, steering wheel

   Hi.
Where is the flywheel key located, When I pull the rope to start the mower it backfires.Can you help?

 Hello Robert:

 Remove the Blower Housing(metal engine cover). The Flywheel Key is what Lines the Flywheel with the Crankshaft. The Flywheel is Located on the Top of the Engine. It has Fins and Magnets on it. You will need a Steering Wheel Puller to Remove the Flywheel. The Key Cannot be Inspected without Removing the Flywheel. Send me the Make, Model, Type and Code Numbers Off of the Engine, Please. With these Numbers I can Locate a Breakdown of the Engine for you to View Online and this May Assist You Also in doing this Repair. Hope this Helps. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks.
