 Hello Edward:

The Coil is Gapped to .020in. Send me the Mpdel, Type and Code Numbers Off of the Engine, Please. With these Numbers I can View a Breakdown of the Engine and Better Assist you. Thanks.

Answer
 Hello Edward:

Check the Clearance Between the Valve Stem and the Valve Tappet. the Clearances I Set these at is .013in Intake and .017in Exhaust. The Valves Must be Removed and the Stem Ground Down a Small Amount Until the Clearance is Proper. From your Description this is the Only thing Left that will cause this kind of Problem. Check the Flywheel Key. It May be Damaged and Causing the Plug Timing to be Off. You can View a Breakdown at this Addy http://www.outdoordistributors.com/ and Click on the B. Then Click on Briggs and Stratton. Then Click on Dont have the Part Numbers. Then go to Number 8. Then Go to the 3rd 80200 File and Click. This will Start the Download of the Breakdown for the Engine.  Hope this Helps. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully

 John
