Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Small Engine Course, foley belsaw, time repair

Question
I'm newly retired and I'm considering enrolling in the Foley-Belsaw Small Engine Repair course.  Is this a good course to take or would I be better off just buying books and learning on my own?  I would eventually like to start a little part time repair business out of my garage.  Any advice will be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

Answer
 Hello Joe:

I have to Say that the Course is Fairly Good. My Advice is Always Do Quality Work. Be Fair in Pricing and Plan on Reading a Lot. I have Enjoyed Repairing Mower for 34 Years and I Really Enjoy the Complex Problems some of the Mowers Provide. Most of the Repairs are Going to Involve Carburator Repairs, Broken Belts and Bent Crankshafts. I Hope you Enjoy the Adventure. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully

 John
