Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): CRAFTMAN MOVER, auto model, hydromatic

I HAVE A CRAFTMAN MOVER, HYDRO-AUTO. MODEL #917 249393. IT MOVES FWD OK BUT REV, VERY SLOW SOMETIMES ON SMALL INCLINE NOT AT ALL. RUN'S GREAT 16 HP 38" DECK I KNOW IT IS OLD LOOKS GOOD.

 Hello Philip:

 Check the Shifter Linkage. This is the Most Common Problem with the Hydromatic Transaxles. It sound like the Linkage isnt Opening the Reverse Valve Properly. If this Isnt the Case, Send me the Manfacturers Name and Model Numbers Off of the Transaxle, Please. With these Numbers I can View a Breakdown of the Transaxle and Better Assist you. Thanks.
