Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): murray riding mower (mid 90, wire ties, soleniod

Question
I'm having a problem with the coil on a 18.5 twin cylinder.. I wasn't getting spark so i pulled off the coil and it was melted on the kill wire and some of the coil was melted.. That wire ties in to the safety swithes if i'm correct.. Those safety switch wires are supposed to be ground wires, Correct..? i'm thinking i may have hooked up the inginition swith wrong or the solenoid.. where should the wires hook up on the soleniod and ignition.. help me please

Answer
 Hello Ron:

Send me the Model Numbers Off of the Mower and Off of the Engine, Please. With these Numbers I can View a Breakdown of the Wiring Harness for this Mower and Engine and Better Assist you. I May be Able to Locate a Breakdown Online for you to View that will Assist you in Repairing this Problem. The Ignition Switch is Wired Differently Depending on the Model of the Mower. Thanks.

 Respectfully

 John
