Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): toro self propelled mower, self propelled mower, t break

Hi Mr. Bennett,
I have a toro self-propelled 24' mower[almost 2yrs old] and it has suddenly stop self-propelling. It is awfully hard to cut the grass, 1/3 of an acre... please help me solve this and perhaps fix this.

Well there's only few things this can be. The first thing you need to do is remove the belt cover and make sure the belt is good. If that checks out then you have too make sure the cable that engages the drive didn't break on you. With that cover off make sure the cable is still moving. If these 2 things check out then you most likely have a bad gear in the transmission. You should have a 2 year warranty on that unit. GOOD LUCK
