Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): craftsman riding lawn mower, craftsman riding lawn mower, carburator

Question
my daughters boyfriend accidentally put diesel fuel in the gas tank.  He then took the gas tank apart and emptied it and re-assembled but now the mower won't start.  I'm not sure if he said it would turn over or not but do you know what he could do to fix?

 Hello Laurie:

 The Carburator Most likely will have to be Cleaned and All the Ports and Passages Blown Out with Compressed Air. The Diesel Fuel is of Heavier Visicosity and Cant be Pulled Through the Carburator. Very Few Times have I seen this Happen and the Carburator Didnt have to be Cleaned. Hope this Helps. Let me know what Happens, Please.
