Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): 6 hp johnson, hp johnson, air compression

Question
hi there,

my 6 hp johnson 1978 has stopped running.

It will not start or fire at all
the fuel has been replaced
the fuel screen is clean
the carby has been taken apart and cleaned and blown out with air
compression is good
both spark plugs are clean and give a good spark when tested (earthed to body and cranked over)

Answer
 Hello Chris:

You have Compression, Fuel and Fire, so the Timing of the Fire is the Only Place Left to Check. Remove the Flywheel and Check the Key. If the Key has been Damaged it will Fire but will Not Run. The Flywheel Key is what Times the Engine. If this Is Not the Cause for the Problem, then Send me the Model Numbers Off of the Engne, Please. With these I can View a Breakdown of the Engine and Assist you Better. Thanks. Hope this Helps. Let me know what Happens, Please.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully

 John
