Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Rear End Problems On Mower, input shaft, doing the same old thing

Question
Hello! I do not know much about fixing a mower but I believe that the part I am having problems with is called "Input Shaft Bearing For The Rear End".. It starts just fine but once it is going it will hardly move. It just don't go as fast as it is suppose to. I work on cars for a living so I am not sure about where to look or even go to get this part. I am also not sure what it is even called. It is in the rear end. Me and my dad tried to just patch it up. It ran good for a couple of weeks but now it is back to doing the same old thing. Could you help me?
