Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Homelite chainsaw, nostart, homelite chainsaw, starter fluid

Question
HI, i have a homelite timberman 45cc.saw model UT10910. It has spark, good compression, and fuel, but will not run. It won't even pop with a prime in the sparkplug hole. It has no points, so it must have a module. Is it part of the coil as i see no other ignition items on the motor. I think it must be out of time somehow. Can you help and thankyou in advance.

Answer
 Hello Bob:

Have you Checked the Exhaust Port for Carbon Build Up? If the Engine Has Compression, Fuel and Spark there is no Reason for it Not to Run. I have seen this before and the Exhaust Port was Clogged with Carbon. Also Check the Muffler and Spark Arrestor Screen in the Muffler for Carbon Clogging them. Instaed of Fuel Mix try Starter Fluid and see if the Engine Will Try to Run. If it Does, then the Carburator need to be Cleaned and Rebuilt. Hope this Helps. Let me know what Happens, Please.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully

 John
