Question -
John... I have a Cub Tractor model 2130 with a 12hp Kohler. The piece starts and runs fine when it's cold. After it gets hot and I shut it off it won't restart. Let it cool down for about a half hour or so and it fires back up and runs fine. I get no spark on the restart. Again when it cools spark returnes and were back in business again.... any Ideas on this?

Thank you for your time
Jimmy Milo

 Hello Jimmy:

Disconnect the Ignition Module Shut Off Wire and see if it Still has No Fire. If it Doesnt, then The Ignition Module/Coil is Bad. If the Fire Returns, then Check all the Components in the Harness for a Ground while the Unit is still Hot. Go to this addy http://www.partstree.net/parts.asp and Click on Shop Online - Parts Look Up. On the Next Screen, Select the Manufacturer and Enter the Model Number 2130. On the Next Screen, you will see 2 Listings. You will need the Serial Numbers to Choose the Right Mower. Click on your Mower. Choose Illustrated Parts List, then Scroll Down to the Ignition/Electrical. Open the File. All the Parts are Here for the Ignition. Number 6 in the Diagram is the Part to Replace if the Ignition Module/Coil is Bad. Hope this Helps. Let me know what Happens, Please.

Answer
 Hello Jimmy:

The Wire Hasnt a Color Code. Sorry. However, The Small Wire from the Ignition Module/Coil that Shuts Off the Engine is the Wire I am Talking About. You want the Ignition Module/Coil Isolated when Checking for a Bad Ignition Module/Coil. On the Page with the Diagrams, you will see a File Marked Battery, Electrical Components and Switches. Open this File and the Harness is Pictured Here. You can See the Color Codes for All the Wires Here. Hope this Helps. Let me know what Happens, Please.

 Good Luck
