Jaguar Repair: 84 XJS HE OVERHEATING, radiator shop, engine coolant

THE CAR OVER HEATS , I CHANGED BOTH THERMOSTATES , THE BELTS ARE OLD
AND THATS MY NEXT PROJECT, COOLANT IS TOPPED OFF I AM NOT SURE OF
THE WATER PUMP OR RADIATOR

Hi Alva,
If you don't have an exhaust analyzer available, go to most any auto parts store and purchase the die used to test for CO/HC in the engine coolant. This will tell you if you have any leak in a head gasket. If that tests ok, check the temperature of the radiator inlet and out let to see if the radiator is doing it's job. Or just take it to a radiator shop and ask them to check it.
