Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): mcculloch weed wacker carb adjustment, weed wacker, speed jets

Question
My Mcculloch weed wacker takes forever to start, won't idle without pressure on the throttle trigger, and runs for about 10 minutes and quits. Once it quits it won't start again that day.  It seems like the carburator needs adjustment.  What are the basic adjustment turns for the idle & high speed jets?  One jet has a black plastic cap & 1 has a white cap; which is the high speed & which is the idle jet?  I have a new spark plug, drained the tank and put in new gas, air filter is clean.  The primer on carb works so I know it gets gas. Model is Mcculloch 3227, CTM 32cc SMH032UB24RA.  There are very low hours on this machine, and other than not staring it's like new.
I had sent this question to another one of your experts but he appears to be overloaded with questions.
Thanks for your help.
Dave

Answer
 Hello Dave:

If yor Engine has the Plastic Caps Over the Air/Fuel Adjusters, you will be Able to Turn Each Adjuster only a Given Amount. These Caps have Stop Ears on them and Prevent More than 1/2 to 1 Turn Adjustment. The Adjuster Nearest the Engine is the High RPM Adjustment and the Other is the Low RPM Adjustment. These are Preset at the Factory and as I said you Only have Limited Adjustment. It Sounds like the Cauburator needs Cleaning and Rebuilding. Send me the Model Numbers Off the Engine and I can see Which Carburator your Engine has. Thanks.

 Respectfully

 John
