Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): petrol lawn mower, honda gv100, stroke oil

Hi
I have a mountfield laser (honda gv100) hand propelled petrol lawn mower. The last few times i have used it, it has started to cut out after about 5 minutes of use, clatters alot and chucks out black smoke every so often. I have put in 2 stroke oil as i thought this was the problem. Smoke seems to have gone & doesn't cut out so much, but seems to be clanking & clattering even more. Can u help? thanks.

 Hello Emma:

 To Look up your Mower I will need the Type Codes Off the Engine, Please. They should be something like A2, A2CG and ext. It Sounds like the Carburator Float Needle is Sticking and the Carburator May need Cleaning and Rebuilding. Thanks.
