Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Lawn tractor wont start, ligths, baking soda

Craftsman 25HP won't start. I replaced the battery and the fuse but it won't turn over but the Ligths will go on.  The unit will start if I jump it with my car.  Any ideas what the problem is.

Sounds like you have a battery terminal connection problem.  Since the jumpers clamp onto the outside of the terminals, jumping it works.  But the connection on the inside to your battery posts may be in need of cleaning (baking soda and a small wire brush).
