Question -
I have a craftsman 6.5 lawnmower and I can't seem to keep it running for more that 15-20 mins. It came this way right out of the box. I took it in to get serviced and the changed the gas tank, gas lines, and spark plug, but it never helped. I can still keep it running for 15-20 mins. then it will stall on me and I will have to wait for a half hour before I can get it to start again. Any info. would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Don

Hi Don
Don, this sounds like a warranty issue.  If you work on the mower, you may void the warranty.  Check with Sears.

Answer
Hi Don-
OK- extreme measures time.

Buy a spark tester that goes inline with the spark plug.  Run it til it quits (after dark) and observe the spark.  Does it begin to fail?  If so- replace the coil.

Alternatively - get a squirt bottle, fill with gas- remove the air cleaner- run it til it begins to quit, squirt in some gas- if it picks back up- we have a fuel pump problem.

Oh yeah- almost forgot- run it- when it begins to quit, remove the tank gas cap- if it picks back up- replace the cap.

Lemme know how this goes ok?
