Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): toro rider electrical problem, electrical problem, charging system

Question
My lawn mower would not start after I had been using it.  I changed the battery and spark plug and it started and worked fine. But I turned it off for a while and could not restart.  The new battery sounded dead.  What"s going on Not going on?
Thanks

Answer
 Hello Chris:

Check the Charging System. Should be Charging at 13 to 13.5 Volts. Can it be Jumped Started when this Happens? If Yes, Check the Battery for a Dead Cell and Check the Starter Draw on the Battery when Tryig to Start the Engine. Hope this Helps. Let me know what Happens, Please.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully

 John
