Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): riding lawn mower wont start, lawn mower wont start, spring replacement

Question
I recently replaced the spring on my clutch on my toro riding lawn mower. Now the mower will not start it won,t even turn over. It sounds like the engine is froze. What could be the problem?

Answer
Hiya Steve
first- make sure the belt isn't staying tight around your engine pulley- I think you may has mis-routed the belt during clutch spring replacement, and now its like trying to crank it in gear, which your starter dosen't have the guts to do

Get under it and put it in neutral- that drive belt has GOT to be loose or she no turn over
lemme know what you find!
