Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Riding mower not driving, warranty problems, warranty issue

Question
I have a brand new Craftman 18hp riding mower(only used 3 times). I can start the mower, but it won't drive forward or backwards. It just runs.

Answer
First thing to check is the drive belt to make sure it did not fall off the pulleys.  Is the mower is a hydrostat you should also check the engage/dis-engage lever.

If the mower if new the problem may be a warranty issue.  Most warranty problems occur within less than 30 hours of use.
