Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): riding mower hydro transmission, hydrostatic drive, control lever

Question
I have a husky yth150 with hydrostatic drive. mower is 4 years old with about 300 hours of run time. When I put to mower in forward at the fastest forward speed, the mower runs slow in the forward position. when i put it in reverse, it runs fine in reverse. just as fast in reverse as it did when new. Any suggestions? Help!!

Thanks,
Tony Saucier

Answer
 Hello Tony:

Have you Checked all the Linkage from the Control Lever to the Transaxle? Pay Close Attention to the Connection On the Transaxle Itself. When you move the Control Lever, Does the Arm on the Transaxle move Consistent with the Control Lever? Is the Belt Stretched? A Loose Belt will Cause this. Let me know what you find. Ill do some research in the meantime. Hope this Helps.

 Good Luck
