Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): push lawn mower, carbon removal, bad hope

Question
Hello again John,
Thank you for your prompt response. I don't know if I told you that my lawnmower is a push lawnmower not a riding one. So I just wanted to make sure that the steps you told me to do as far as removing the muffler and inspecting the exhaust port for build up still applies to push lawnmowers as well. Also how do I check the compression?  Sorry i'm totally lawnmower illiterate. I'm at work so I will try your suggestions when I get home. Thank you for your help
Randy

Answer
 Hello Randy:

Yes the Carbon Removal is the Same for All Small Engines Riders or Walk Behind. With the Coil Wire Attached to the Engine Block Not the Plug. Spin the Engine Backwards Quickly. If The Engine Buck hard against the Reverse Turn the Compression is good. If it doesnt the Compression is Bad. Hope this Helps.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully

 John
