My neighbor has a Honda walk behind lawn mower.  It will start up then stop - will not run continuosly.  Pull the fule line and it is clear, clean teh carb bowl and float is free to move - and hold fuel back - no leakage past needle.  The neighbor did run it low on oil prior to this occurring.  Also, it was running just fine preiro to this occuring.  Used new gas and also added stabilizer.

 Hello Joe:

 The Carb needs to be Cleaned overnite in Carb Solution and then ALL Ports and Pasages Blown out. Gas Varnish has built up inside the Passages and is Restricting Flow to the Carb Jet. Hope this Helps.
