Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): troybilt tuffcut 200, fuel mixture, float bowl

Question
This mower contains a b&s motor. I recently had a problem with the mower shutting off and i realized it was because the air filter was filthy(used mower) so i changed the oil, filter and spark plug. Now the mower runs great in idle but gets bogged down when cutting the grass. could it be that i just need to clean the carb? If so, can you tell me the easiest way to go about it. Thanks

Answer
 Hello Patrick:

If there is Fuel Mixture Screws on the Carb; try to adjust the High Speed Mixture Screw (usually in the bottom of the Float Bowl). Try turning it Clockwise first about 1/4 turn at least 2 times (total 1/2 turn). If not helping then Turn back to Start and go Counter Clockwise 1/4 turn for up to 3/4 turn. If this doesnt help then send me the Model, Type and Code of the Engine and I can give Instruction on Overhauling the Carb.
Hope this Helps.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully

 John
