Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): homelite sx-135 trimmer, homelite, diaphram

Question
Hi John; I have a homelite sx-135 trimmer that will start with no problems, idles great but when I press on the gas trigger it wants to die. The low speed seems to work fine but the high speed seem to be the problem. I have taken the carb appart and cleaned it several time, cleaned the air filter, put in new gas and new oil but still the same problem. Any idea ?

Thanks Luc

Answer
 Hello Luc:

Turn the High Speed Air/Fuel Screw Counter Clockwise 1/2 turn. Turn the Low Speed Air/Fuel Screw 1/4 turn Counter Clockwise. Reset Idle if Required. The Engine is Starving for Fuel; During and when at High Speed. If this Doesnt Work; Replace the Gaskets and Diaphram in the Carb and Make Sure the Needle Travel is Correct. Hope this Helps.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully

 John
